I Am Alive. That is all.

Not much to report here.  My angry gall bladder is finally gone, yay!  I am pretty sore, but it could be worse.  It's just so difficult to sleep, I can't get comfy since I normally sleep on my belly.

I weighted myself yesterday morning and I was happy to finally see 199.5!  So amazing, I really hope this surgery doesn't result in a huge gain.  I went to Dr. Ren's office on Friday and got an unfill, they took out 2 cc's since I only had 6 cc's in there.  I have an appointment next Monday for post-op follow up and they are planning on putting in 1 cc at that time.  I am pretty sensitive to big girl fills so the remaining cc might be split into two .5 fills to avoid any problems.  I am happy with this and very happy they didn't completely unfil me!  Um, fellow NYU peoples - there was a guy - not Gasper - who did my unfill and he was TERRIBLE!  He hurt me so much, I actually felt the entire port move!  I have a big bruise from this, not a fan.  He is a skinny guy with glasses, I don't remember his name.  He had to feel around quite a bit to even find the port, Gasper and Ren usually get right in...

Well, that is about it for now.  I hope everything is going well for everyone.  I am in the process of catching up on blogs.

Also, sending out best wishes and thoughts to http://thinspiration4me.blogspot.com/ for her gall bladder surgery which is scheduled for tomorrow!  Best of luck lady!

Take It Out NOW!

I had a good birthday, my husband and I went out Saturday night and celebrated.  Here is a pic of me toasting to all of you...

Cheers to all of my Blogger Friends!

Other than that, it was pretty low key due to my gall bladder issues.  Unfortunaltey last night I had an even worst attack and was up all night with terrible pain.  Eventually I decided to take two percocets around 2 am to at least let me sleep.  There was no way I was going to the ER again - this time they would take the gall bladder out for sure!  I am really set on having my surgeon complete the procedure, just one more week and this will be done.  I do have to be extremely careful for the rest of this week, because I can not have another attack - I am not to be taking anything other than Extra Strength Tylenol since my surgery is so close due to thinning of the blood.  I will let them know on Friday that I took them just in case they have any concerns.

I have an appointment for Friday to be completely emptied, ugh.  I am a little nervous about this - does this mean that I have to start all over again?  Like, while they are in there and everything is done - will they put what they took out back in or will I have to get like 3 cc's and then build back up?

No sign of 199, but I don't really care.  Isn't that strange?  I don't feel like I am focused on my band right now.  Especially after hearing that I will be wide open on Friday for who knows how long.  I think a part of me thinks that if I had made it to 199 today, I might not have counted it.  I think there is a chance that I could gain a little during the time that I am getting back to restriction.  Just the though of gaining makes me sad - even if it is a little...

Happy Little Puppy...

I have decided to post a picture of a happy little puppy in honor of Jen!  My picture of the saddest little puppy in my last post was very upsetting, I know!

I am back to losing again, yay, and am only 3.5 lbs from the 199 mark.  I am determined to have this happen by next Monday's weigh in as my birthday is Saturday and that was my original goal.  I should be able to accomplish this.

I have updated my blog a little bit and wanted to share the changes with you all.  I now have my progress information listed on a separate page at the top of my blog.  I have also added my progress pictures to another page as well.  Feel free to check them out, I am pretty happy with the results.

The gallbladder is still here and has seemed to have calmed down a little bit over the past couple of days.  Thanks so much for everyone's kind words last week!  I know that was a a downer of a post.  Two more weeks and it will be out, I can't wait to get it over with.

As I mentioned, my birthday is Saturday and because of this whole gallbladder issue I have decided to cancel my plans for the weekend.  Dan and I were going to Musikfest in his hometown of Bethlehem, PA.  We haven't gone in years and I was really looking forward to it.  Unfortunately I don't want to chance having another gallbladder attack and I would be forced to eat out all weekend.  "Forced", I mean that is the fun of the fest - hearing great music and sampling great food and beer.  Too much fun could end bad for me at this point.  Oh well, it's not like 31 is a significant age to acknowledge anyway!  We decided that we would combine my birthday with a trip in the fall for our anniversary.  Somewhere with lots of foliage and of course spa treatments!

Sad Little Puppy....

I gained a pound last week - this doesn't happen often, but when it does - IT SUCKS!  The worst part is that I didn't take it off this week - it's still there.  Booooooo!  I was only 5 lbs away from 199 - now I am 6 away, yuck...

However, I do have some good news to report - I did my measurements Saturday nd I have lost a total of 26 inches - that's good right?  I don't know really what the average should be for inches, but it sounds good to me.  I want to post progress pics sometime this week, too...

Onto the subject of my angry gallbladder:  I had an endoscopy yesterday because Dr. Ren can look at my band and make sure everything is okay.  She seem to be a little concerned about why my band is so sensitive to fills.  The place I went to will send the results back to her sometime this week - I hope.  The doctor who completed the procedure did tell me that I have damage on my esophagus from acid and that I need to go back on the acid reflux meds.  Great.

I am in desperate need of a fill right now.  It's so strange how quickly things change, just a little over a week ago I saw Gasper and we both agreed I was at a good restriction level!  Well, let me tell you - things have changed!  I can eat a whole wrap sandwich - wrap and all!  I can also eat a turkey sandwich from Lenny's - if you are from NYC you know how big their sandwiches are.  It's on toasted whole wheat bread, not a roll, but still.  Crazy!  And I know that just because I CAN doesn't mean that I SHOULD - but I DO.  I SUCK.  I can't get in to see Dr. Ren until they have the results of the endoscopy, UGH...

That is all.
